February 28, 2018 – The Internal Revenue Service has released an updated Withholding Calculator on IRS.gov and a new version of Form W-4 to help taxpayers check their 2018 tax withholding following the December passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
February 9, 2018 – New federal tax withholding rates went into effect January 11, 2018. The tax tables in the commonwealth’s payroll system have been updated to reflect the new rates, beginning with pay date February 23. The new rates will be applied retroactively, which, depending on each employee's pay area, may result in additional net pay on February 23 or March 2.
January 7, 2018 – Starting today, employees can access their 2017 W-2 forms in ESS. Follow the Instructions for Accessing and Printing Electronic W-2/W-2c via ESS (PDF) to obtain your form.
