The Office of the Budget offers many training opportunities in accounting, finance, budgeting, and travel topics through the Office of Comptroller Operations’ Training and Workforce Development Division and in collaboration with the Office of Administration. Most of these offerings are available to all commonwealth employees. Training may be offered in classroom settings, online through Learning Solutions (LSO), or via webcasts or webinars. Employees can browse all available training opportunities in the Keystone Academy for Learning training schedule and in many cases, register through LSO. Supervisor approval may be required for some courses.
The Training and Workforce Development Division also makes available numerous procedures manuals and reference guides for Office of the Budget and other commonwealth agency personnel. Additionally, it collaborates with the Office of Administration, Office for Information Technology to provide the IT Desktop Training Program. This program provides training at various levels on common software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
